Peter Carew is the principal of Carew Counsel having commenced the practise in 1979. Peter was accredited as a specialist in Family Law in 1990 and currently serves on the Family Law Specialist Accreditation Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria. Peter has a degree in both Economics and Law from Monash University and is a graduate of the Leo Cussen Institute for continuing Legal Education. Married with three children Peter is well aware of the trials and tribulations of raising and supporting a family.

Peter was a founding member of Law Australasia a group of some 18 law firms up and down the eastern seaboard who meet regularly to consider and adopt best practice procedures as well as setting up special interest groups including a Family Law special interest group and an Estate Planning group. The benefit being that client’s get the best of the best as the law firms share knowledge and skill readily

Peter brings 30 years of legal practice to the table and has a keen ability to get to the nub of the problem and to find sensible and pragmatic solutions to the most complex issues. Peter works with and mentors all the family lawyers in the practice and is keen to be involved in every case the firm handles to ensure the highest quality of advice and problem solving.
